Overview
Most entrants join a pool from a Join Link shared by the host. The link takes you through signing in or creating an account, reviewing the pool details, and joining the pool.
Once you have joined, you can open the pool, create entries if the pool allows more than one, and make picks from My Picks.
Joining via Link
Every pool has a unique Join Link. The host may share it by email, text, group chat, or another private channel.
If you are not signed in when you open the link, you will be sent to sign in or create an account. After that, My Survivor Pool will return you to the join flow.
Sign In or Create an Account
You need a My Survivor Pool account to join a pool and manage your entries. If you already have an account, sign in with the same email address you plan to use for the pool.
If you create a new account from a Join Link, the pool invitation is carried through the account setup process so you can continue joining after registration.
Join Screen
Before joining, the join screen shows the pool name, host, current member count, entry allowance, and start week. Review these details to make sure you are joining the correct pool.
If the pool has already started or is no longer accepting new entries, the join page will show that the pool is closed to new entries.
Pool Password
Some hosts add an optional pool password. If the pool requires one, enter it on the join screen before clicking Join Survivor Pool.
Pool passwords are managed by the host. If you do not know the password or the password does not work, contact the host directly.
Email Invitations
Hosts can also send email invitations from My Survivor Pool. If you receive one, use the link in that email so the invitation can connect to your account.
If you already have an account, sign in when prompted. If you need a new account, create one using the email address that received the invitation.
Verify Your Email
You need to verify your email address before making picks. After creating an account, check your inbox for the verification email and click the link to confirm your address.
If the email does not arrive, check your spam or promotions folder. You can also resend the verification email from the verification prompt after signing in.
Welcome Message
The host may provide a welcome message for entrants. This message is included in the welcome email and is also available from the pool page.
Welcome messages are a good place to look for house rules, deadline reminders, or other pool-specific details.
After Joining
After joining, you will be taken to the pool page. From there, you can view pool details, create or manage your entries, and make picks once your email address is verified.
For the full pick workflow, see Making Picks.
Troubleshooting
If a Join Link does not work, ask the host whether the link has been reset. Resetting the pool code creates a new Join Link and deactivates the old one.
If the pool is full, has already started, or requires a password you do not have, the host is the best person to help.
